Skintrends Acne-Free System Inclusion Guidelines


Mild Pimples

  • Treatment should be done on a weekly basis for 1.5 months (total of 6 treatments)
  • Take-home products should be purchased to cover for 1.5 months
  • Each product bought should have a signature stamped beside it on the prescription pad
  • The following are guidelines on product consumption (estimate only):

 

Clarifying Lotion
30 ml - 1 month
120 ml - 4 months

Dermasol Lotion
30 ml - 2 weeks
120 ml - 2 months

Keratolytic Cream
10 grams - 2 months
15 grams - 3 months

*Prescription will indicate complete list of medications to be used.

  • At the end of 1.5 months (total of 6 treatments done), the patient is advised to come back immediately (within 1 week) for assessment. The patient should bring records of weekly treatments and take-home products bought. If acne (blackheads / whiteheads, papules, pustules) are still present, Skintrends will give free treatments on a weekly basis for a total of 6 sessions.
  • Take-home products are not included in the free treatments; these should be purchased separately.
  • After completion of the program, it is mandatory to continue pimple treatment at least once a month as maintenance. Pimple medication should be applied regularly to prevent recurrence.
  • Skintrends will not give free treatments to patients who do not comply with maintenance treatments and medications.
  • Patients who do not comply with the guidelines will be automatically dropped from the program and free treatments will be forfeited.
  • The patient can avail of the treatment in branches that offer this program, provided that he / she brings his / her own record, presents it to the branch and have it signed every treatment.
  • All female patients should have a work-up with a Gyne to rule out polycystic ovarian disease or hormonal imbalance. Hormonal acne can be treated with prescription medication. A Gyne may prescribe a contraceptive pill to restore levels of hormones to normal. The pill must be taken as instructed by the doctor, otherwise the hormonal balance may return and cause repeat of acne breakouts.
  • All patients are advised of lifestyle change such as but not limited: avoiding simple sugars high in fructose, adjustment of sleeping pattern and avoiding stress.
  • Skintrends has the right to refuse patients who are not qualified to join this program.
