Established in 1994, Skintrends is an aesthetic clinic specializing in acne treatment. In addition, a range of the best skincare products, services and technology has been carefully formulated and selected by founder and medical director Dr. Herbia Joy Gonzales Mongcal after years of research and experience.

Today, there are 7 branches across the Metro and down south, with highly educated and skilled attendants closely trained and managed by Dr. Joy herself. The clinic attracts customers from all walks of life looking for customized, effective skincare solutions and cosmetic enhancements at an affordable cost.

 

About the CEO / Medical Director

 

Dr. Joy Gonzales-Mongcal obtained her degree in Doctor of Medicine at the Cebu Institute of Medicine and underwent residency training in Internal Medicine at Perpetual Succour Hospital, Cebu City.

Her own experiences with skin problems as a young adult inspired her to take up aesthetic medicine and learn to enhance beauty. She trained at the Dermatology Institute Foundation of the Philippines, and later trained in cosmetic surgery under Dr. Corazon Collantes-Jose.

Afterwards, she trained here and abroad in countries such as Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, attending conventions, lectures and workshops to bring the best, most up-to-date techniques available to her clients. Her specialties are botox, fillers and threads which give a natural appearance of cosmetic enhancement.
